Scientists in Congregation (Canada) explores how people in the sciences connect with local congregations across Canada and how congregations enfold scientists into their midst.
Some scientists with Christian faith connect really well with local churches. Others struggle.
Some churches provide a wonderful mutually supportive community for scientists and celebrate those in their midst who are in the sciences. Other churches wrestle with the sciences, in general, and scientists in particular.
In particular, we want to explore how we can nurture constructive, positive relationships. We want to help congregations become supportive communities for people in the science, especially younger people who love God’s creation and aspire to scientific careers. And we want to explore ways in which scientists can be a blessing to local church congregations.
